Strengthen Your Genealogical Skills with the Intermediate Evidence Analysis Practicum
A Comprehensive 5-Week Journey in Evidence Analysis
Running from February 19 to March 26, 2026, this intermediate-level practicum offers genealogists a unique opportunity to practice evaluating real-world evidence in a guided, supportive environment. Each Thursday from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm Mountain Time, participants will work hands-on with challenging case studies, building both skill and confidence in analyzing genealogical evidence.

This practicum is not about theory—it’s about practice. By actively working through real cases, you’ll:

- Apply strategies for analysis and problem-solving.
- Collaborate in discussions to test reasoning and conclusions.

Expert Instructors Guide Your Research
Two outstanding instructors lead the practicum:
- Angela Packer McGhie, CG, FUGA – Experienced genealogical educator and mentor, guiding participants through research planning, analysis strategies, and case study lessons.
- Karen Stanbary, LCSW, AM, CG, CGG – Acclaimed instructor specializing in advanced analysis and case-based learning, who will lead participants through the second practicum case.
Together, they provide expert coaching and feedback that ensures participants leave with sharpened skills ready to apply to their own research.
