Unlock the Power of Federal Records for Your Genealogical Research
Federal records, often overlooked, hold extraordinary potential for solving genealogical puzzles. The course Navigating Federal Records Collections, offered through the Salt Lake Institute of Genealogy, will enlighten you about the value of these records and equip you with the skills to identify, access, and analyze them.
Classes will be held on Thursdays, 19 February–23 April, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Mountain Time. The course is coordinated by Michael Strauss, AG, who brings extensive expertise in federal records research.
Guided by experienced instructors, you’ll explore a wide range of resources such as court records, federal land entry files, pension applications, and agency reports. Each session highlights both familiar and lesser-used collections, ensuring you gain a comprehensive understanding of federal records.
